Organize a girl’s night out or in and ask your friends to come dressed to the nine’s. Make Valentine’s Day a day to show off an amazing eye look you finally perfected or a reason to wear that new outfit you just bought. Whatever your plans are for Valentine’s Day, these eye makeup looks are sure to impress.
When you think of Valentine’s Day, you usually think of red, pink and white shades. Why not feel festive with a gorgeous eye makeup look to match? Start off by using a nude shadow to give your eyes a nice, neutral base. Blend this color into your crease. Next, take a light pink matte shade and dab the color into the bottom half of your eyelid, stopping at the crease. Take a slightly darker nude color and blend into the crease to produce a softer blend between the two colors. Next, take a darker, metallic pink shade and dab on top of the light matte pink color to produce a darker pigment. Swipe the shade on your bottom lash line and finish with a pearly white highlighter color in your inner corner and below your brows. Complete your eye makeup look with your choice of eyeliner (whether that be a stunning cat eye or a simple swipe of liner on the upper and lower lash line). Remember to apply a few coats of mascara and finish with some falsies for an extra oomph!
For some, Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to pull out their best, sexy smokey eye look and we’re all for it. To create the perfect V-Day smokey eye look, you’ll need your choice of dark shades. Remember, a smokey eye doesn’t have to be just browns or blacks! Choose from an array of browns, black/greys, purples, or even blues. You will want to have at least 4-5 different shades, ranging from light to dark. As a rule of thumb, you’ll want to start with the lightest color and blend your way to the darkest color with each layer of shadow you apply. Begin by highlighting your brow bone and your inner corner with a shimmery, champagne color. Next, take your lightest color shade and blend across your lid. Next, take the medium shade and blend it across the outer half of your eye. Remember, always blend your shadow “up & out!” Take the darkest shade and blend into the outer half of your eye, blending into the crease. Take a brown or black liner, depending on how intense you want your eye makeup look to be, and line your upper and lower lashline. Smudge the liner to create an even smokier look. Complete the look with mascara and/or false lashes!
Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to do something different with your makeup that you normally wouldn’t try. There are many different ways you can do this, but we’re detailing our favorites here.
There’s nothing more stunning than a perfectly blended nude eye makeup look. It has the ability to look natural while at the same time giving off just the right amount of sexiness. For the eyeshadow, you will want to use a variety of soft browns. Then, add depth to the look by blending a bronze colored shadow into the lid and upwards into the crease. The bronze shade will add depth to the look that just using the soft browns cannot do. The soft browns and bronze shade creates definition without looking too smokey. Draw a thin line of brown or black liner as close to the lashline as possible to help make the lashes appear fuller and more lifted. Finish by adding highlighter to the inner corner and the browbone. A nude makeup look is not completed until you have applied a fantastic nude lip color. When going for a natural look, a peach lip shade is the perfect one to compliment it. Peach not only looks fantastic on all skin tones, but it also has the ability to brighten up a look and make you appear more awake.
