Get Angelina Jolie's Bronzed & Metallic Eye Makeup Look from the Oscars Red Carpet
Big bold lashes and a strong eyeliner framed the gold and bronze eye shadows worn by Angelina at last nights 2014 Oscars. Her eyes popped with just the right amount of shimmer and her smooth long locks pulled away from her face revealed the absolutely magnificent diamond drops adorning her ears.
To get Angelina's look we suggest the Get The Look Smokey Eye Deluxe Kit in SGB. The perfect palette for a sunkissed bronzed smokey eye makeup style worthy of any red carpet, party, date night, or night out with your BFF's. Start by mixing the two lighter shadows from the palette together and applying to the eyelid and up into the crease. Having trouble getting your smokey eye shape just right? Use the smokey eye makeup stencil from the SGB Kit to create the perfect shape for your eyelid. To use, hold in place over your eye and fill in with your color inside the curved shape. Make sure to sweep your brush with color around the black guide line before removing and blending your shadow in the crease.
Next, using the dark bronze color apply into the crease using a blender brush. Creating a windshield wiper effect with your brush, blend the color back and forth until the desired look is achieved. Using a tapered eyeliner brush mix the 2 darker shadows from SGB palette together and apply underneath the eye, and along the lashline.
Finsh the look by applying your Onyx Gel Eyeliner along the top lashline and underneath the lashline as well. For the top liner start at the outer eye and work the color along the lashes tapering it as you get closer to the inner eye as seen here on Angelina. For best results use a synthetic angled eyeliner brush to apply the gel liner. For a thicker line repeat the same steps again. To create Angie's winged effect extend your gel liner out and away from the eye.
PRO TIP: Use the cat eye makeup stencil included in kit to get the perfect cat eye shape and then fill in using your onyx gel liner. Much quicker with great results.
Finish with a few coats of black mascara focusing on the outer lashes to enhance your smokey eyes and winged liner.
