Kate Hudson Rocks Old Hollywood Glam with an Updated Sexier Look!

Kate Hudson’s eye makeup looks have really evolved since her earlier days on the red carpet. For this particular look her makeup artist chose a charcoal grey smokey eye with a bit of shimmer and a sheer nude lip color to compliment her Versace gown. Her sexy loose face-framing waves were a modern take on “Old Hollywood Glam” for an updated and red carpet look that screamed fabulous.

Start first by sweeping the grey shadow from the palette across the eyelid. Take your smokey eyeliner stencil and place it over the eye to create the perfect smokey eye shape suited to your own eye shape. Fill in with your matte grey shadow using a medium size eye shadow brush. You can add more color before removing your stencil to achieve the desired look.

Next using the onyx shadow, apply the color to the outer crease using a blender brush. Dip into the platinum shadow using the same brush and apply color slightly above the crease, blending well.

Sweep the onyx shadow underneath the eye along the lashline followed by the platinum shimmer and blend. Using the gel liner apply color carefully along the waterline to intensify the eyes as seen here on Kate. Add the gel eyeliner along the lashline starting at the outer eye and tapering slightly before the inner eye area. This will also create the look of fuller and thicker lashes.

You can add a few lash clusters to the ends of each eye or an extra coat of  lengthening mascara. Check out the Glamour Me Lengthening Mascara and Pro Curler Set.
